Wilder Fox is excited to partner with a leading contractor in NSW to recruit a skilled Project Manager. In this role, you will either join an active project to drive it to completion or assist in launching a newly awarded project in the planning and procurement stages. Upcoming projects include a $70 million residential apartment complex, a $35 million commercial tower, a $60 million mixed-use development, $50 million in build-to-rent apartments and townhouses, and a $15 million house refurbishment.
This Sydney-based contractor focuses on delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, managing values from $15 million to $80 million. With a strong commitment to quality and a dedicated team, they emphasize rigorous standards and reliable results. Their ISO certification and iCIRT rating highlight their dedication to compliance and sustainable client outcomes. They are currently working with KPMG and the Building Commission to set a new benchmark for developments under $100 million.
About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you will approach their projects as if they were your own business, embodying the mindset of a true Business Unit Manager. They go above and beyond to ensure successful project delivery and take full responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and relationships with clients and subcontractors. Being site-based and fully engaged in every aspect of their projects, they implement methodical, detailed, and technically complex processes, ensuring they are well-prepared for visits from senior management. For new negotiated projects and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), they also have the opportunity to assist in finalizing programming and pricing, as well as overseeing design and value engineering before procurement commences, ultimately leading the project on-site to successful completion.

- Leverage your experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer to gain diverse exposure to quality projects; consider stepping up from a Contracts Administrator role into project management.
- Manage multiple smaller projects or a single larger project with confidence, regardless of industry sector or project value.
- Serve as the main point of contact for your project, acting as an 'unblocker' to facilitate efficient operations.
- Proactively solve problems, schedule, and program work, ensuring all aspects are thoroughly considered and planned.
- Maintain pride in your work, taking ownership of the project and its outcomes.
- Oversee a range of commercial and residential projects valued at $50 million and above, driving them from start to finish.
- Bring a stable employment history with a long-term mindset, focusing on growth opportunities within the organization.
- Aspire to grow a team or division or progress into senior leadership roles, with advancement limited only by your performance.
- A dedicated “builder” who can lead projects from inception to completion, fully committed to delivering successful outcomes.
- Ideally experienced with a Tier 2 main contractor in Sydney, proficient in managing all project documentation—including construction plans, schedules, quality assurance, and safety protocols—while maintaining a strong on-site presence.
- Exceptional time management skills, ensuring oversight of every project detail with an unwavering commitment to quality and safety.
- Proficient in providing clear direction and effectively managing teams to drive outstanding project results.
- Experienced in overseeing a diverse range of projects valued from $20 million to $60 million and above, consistently guiding them to successful completion.
