Revitalisation plans have been submitted for a retail strip on Brisbane’s historic Given Terrace, poised for visibility during the 2032 Olympics. The proposal, located at 208-220 Given Terrace, Paddington, includes two mid-rise buildings—five and four storeys high—housing 12 luxury apartments and 31 short-term accommodation suites.
The plan also introduces Hanlon Lane, named in honour of former Queensland Premier Michael Edward “Ned” Hanlon, to celebrate Paddington’s history and community pioneers.
Developed by P&MV Constructions, led by Nick Vidakovic, and Core Property Partners, this project aims to rejuvenate Paddington’s retail heart, boosting foot traffic and revitalising Given Terrace and Latrobe Terrace.
DAH Architecture’s David Hansford has designed the scheme, reflecting the suburb’s heritage and Brisbane’s contemporary lifestyle. Core Property’s Bikram Kaler emphasised the goal of restoring the retail strip’s character and attracting more visitors and businesses.
The residential and accommodation buildings will be set back to preserve the retail facades. The development will enhance access to nearby Suncorp Stadium and other 2032 Olympics sites, driving economic growth and job creation in the area.
